This year we're incredibly excited to participate in the first Digital Doors Open Day in Glasgow.
Doors Open Day is a big feature in The Sixty Steps annual events calendar. Usually, people come from all over to speak with our knowledgeable team about the history and to be given a tour of the The Sixty Steps and the wonderful 'Belle Vue' gardens at the top (open to the public). However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation this will all be done digitally.
Now the reason we're so excited about this is that some people, either because of where they live or because of mobility issues, may not normally be able to visit this integral part of Glasgow's architectural history. This year we hope to change that and provide a virtual experience for all. So far the plans are to create:
an interactive pdf
a walking tour
a presentation about the history of The Sixty Steps
And a few other surprises.
