WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Bringing the Past, Present & Future Together
The Sixty Steps, located in the heart of the west end of Glasgow, was one of prominent Glasgow architect Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson’s last creations and is in daily use by the public today. The Sixty Steps Preservation Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to raising awareness of this seminal part of Glasgow's heritage with a view to a full restoration of the Sixty Steps to their former glory. With the dedication of our volunteers, community, committee members and partners we strive to secure the support needed to preserve this important piece of Thomson’s architectural legacy as part of the local community and to bring the past, present and future together.

OUR AIMS
The Trust is a voluntary body, made up of local residents and supporters from the wider community
that aims to:
RESTORE
Coordinate the restoration of Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson’s Sixty Steps and adjoining feature
wall for the benefit of the local community and broader area.
MAINTAIN
Ensure the ongoing maintenance of the Steps, wall and adjoining spaces.
EDUCATE
Educate the public about Thomson’s architectural legacy and about the history of the west end in general, and integrate the Steps and wall into the present recreational, social and cultural life of the local community and built environment of the City.
